I'm Dan Ackerman and we are here taking a look at the new Dell XPS fifteen this is part of the latest revision. Of Dell's XPS line much like the XPS thirteen with our earlier in the year and the -- fourteen which appropriate recently. On the make over here kinda looks a little bit like a MacBook Pro it's really solid. -- aluminum outside. Kind of very minimalist in the thank you really just get the keyboard and the touchpad no other bells and whistles. -- I like that to keep a lot of -- high end features you'd expect to find on a more expensive laptop. Like the backlit keyboard like the edge to edge glass over the display. And of course you could pack -- XPS laptop and you would expect a really high -- parts in this case. We've got a Quad Core core I seven. And -- a -- green giant Nvidia graphics card you can get some more powerful components if you train office and I think a guy Dell's Alienware line -- boutique PC -- like origin. But for a mid sized mainstream but still high end experience. I attempted do better than the XPS line to get HP's envy line kind of comes close. On mine may not with that port sixteen point nine -- -- this particular configuration costs. I'll leave it would've expected to -- better video card for example there would certainly capable of playing. All the current games -- -- at the top resolution of 1920 by 1080. And of course the united I have a lot has -- for a laptop at least expensive configurations 1290 -- still very premium. Either only a couple of companies think and feel laptops and it rained and is only a couple of people out there looking to buy laptops in that range of a lot of them are really looking for Apple's. The media like about the XPS fifteen more than the very similar overall looking at. XPS fourteen was that get these are being heavy laptops. Their thinner than -- you -- that used to be but there's still. You -- too -- to carry around every -- on the fourteen inch model they'll they'll really overwhelmingly with a lot heavier than a fourteen inch laptop need to be. The fifteen inch model on the screen is bigger footprint is bigger even though it's a bit heavier than fourteen that we -- better distributed it feels like -- that but it -- mainstream. Mid size fifteen inch laptop should feel like they think you're gonna feel a lot more home. On the fifty inside than that of overly heavy forking -- I'm Dan Ackerman and that is the Dell XPS fifteen.

Dell XPS 15 (3rd gen Intel Core i7-3612QM) Review
The good: The new Dell XPS 15 has an appealing minimalist design, solid construction, and powerful components.
The bad: There are only a handful of preconfigured builds available, and the more powerful options get very expensive. It's also too heavy for regular commuting.
The bottom line: You can get similar components to our Core i7 Dell XPS 15 configuration for less, but the rock-solid design makes this feel like a premium machine.
