>>Hi this is Eric Franklin from CNET.com and today we're looking at the Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP, the top pick in our printers and peripherals category of this years holiday gift guide. Basically this is the same design as lasts years' model, the 2407. It still has this thin black mat bezel here. It has a pretty thick panel which is about 2 inches thick that has this kind of burnt foot design foot stand which is pretty wide and keeps it from wobbling. It also has an extra DVI port and it has a display port which last years model did not have. In addition to those connection options you get component, HDMI, 4 USB ports, compact flash and an SD card reader. So you're really not going to be wanting for connection options. We would have liked to have seen an optical audio out option but that's a very minor gripe. The display includes the ergonomic trifecta of screen pivoting, screen rotation and screen height adjustment. The screen pivots 90 degrees, it rotates about 30 degrees left and right and height is adjustable by about 6 inches. I tested a number 24 inch displays since we viewed this one earlier this year. I have to say that overall this is still the best performing of the lot. It has nice deep blacks, very vibrant colors which make's games and movies look great. The onscreen display or OSD is simple and easy to use and includes many options like bright list and color customization options. The OSD includes some presets but if you want to customize it further it also has those options as well. Overall whether you're playing games, watching movies or just typing word documents the 2408 is a great display. It's available right now from Dell for about $600. That's a bit more than some of the other 24 inches out there but with it's ergonomic features, connection options and overall performance it's still a great value. Once again I'm Eric Franklin and that's has been the Dell Ultrasharp 2408WFP. [ Music ]
