Dell B1160w, a compact wireless laser printer Video Transcript
If you're shopping for a simple laser printer for your home office, or a dorm room that won't take up too much space on your desk, you can actually drop less than 100 bucks and pick this up. I'm Justin Yu for CNET, and this is a first look at the Dell B1160w Wireless Laser Printer. This printer has one job to do and it does it pretty well. It doesn't print in black and white, and it doesn't have an auto-document feeder. Also, with no Ethernet port on the machine, it can't make a hard connection. So, what can it do? Well, it's a monochrome printer; so, it really excels at simple black text prints and the occasional graphics job with a low price currently set at 85 bucks. This is a great companion printer for light weight duty, maybe something in an office to print memos or for a student with the occasional hand out or essay to print. It measures only about 13 inches wide and 7 inches tall; so, you'll save plenty of desk space. And both paper trays fold into the machine to make it even more compact. And even though Dell doesn't give you Ethernet here, you can still make your wireless connection to any computer with wifi and set up is really easy thanks to the CD drivers that come in the package. The control panel is really simple as well, with just 2 buttons on top for power and alert. It's really not bad looking but the cost of print off sets the plain design anyway. You can pick up toner cartridge refills for about 60 bucks online. Those will last you about 1,500 sheets. By my math, that's about 3.9 cents per page, which is just under the average and certainly cheaper than a lot of inkjet competitors. You can read more details including a speed and quality report on the full review on cnet.com, but that's gonna do it for me. I'm Justin Yu. You just took a first look at the Dell B1160w Wireless Laser Printer. Thanks for watching.

Dell Wireless Laser Printer B1160w Review
The good: The Dell B1160w's low-profile footprint occupies very little desk space and its Wi-fi connectivity works well for multiple users operating in the same network.
The bad: The 150-sheet paper capacity demands more frequent refills, and wired networking isn't an option without an onboard Ethernet port.
The bottom line: The Dell B1160w's limited paper input capacity and lack of Ethernet networking constrain its use for small businesses with high-volume workloads, but its compact form makes it an affordable solution for personal use at home.
