Decent headphones that don't stand out Video Transcript
-I'm David Carnoy, executive editor for cnet.com, and I'm here with the Nocs NS 700 Phaser headphones. Nocs is a Swedish company, so there's a little bit of a Scandinavian design here though these are a fairly generic headphone in terms of the look. You've seen this look before. It does have a nice finish to it. It has kind of soft to the touch finish. These are a comfortable lightweight on your headphone. In terms of a sound profile, there really is an immediacy to 'em. They're stronger in the mid range, so you hear those vocals and they really pop. They're an aggressive headphone. So, if you don't like that type of sound, I wouldn't recommend these. But if you do like that kind of in-your-face sound, these are a headphone that certainly delivers that experience. This does have an inline remote with a microphone in it. It's an Apple friendly inline remote, so it may not work with a lot of the android phones out there at least in terms of all the functionality. They're a 100-dollar headphone, so pretty affordable. I wouldn't say these really distinguish themselves from the other 100-dollar headphones out there. I wasn't incredibly enthused about them. I do like Nocs in-ear earbud cell headphones a little bit better, so okay but not great headphone from Nocs. These are the Nocs NS 700 Phaser headphone. Thanks for watching.

The Denon AH-NC732s are a decent pair of noise-canceling headphones, but in terms of sound and comfort, they don't measure up to the competition for the price.
The Razer Moray in-ear noise-isolating gaming headphones may not distinguish themselves all that much from their in-ear noise-isolating gaming headphones competitors, but they're a perfectly good--and affordable--set of earphones for the money.
The LG VX5600 won't stand out from the pack, but it offers a user-friendly design, satisfying performance, and a decent feature set.
The Samsung SGH-A777 is a decent 3G slider phone, but there's not much to distinguish it from comparable devices.
For businesses that put budgets before bells and whistles, the reasonably priced HP Compaq nx7400 offers a functional design, decent performance and battery life, and enough features for basic corporate users.
The Asus VG236H is a decent performing monitor that includes enough extras to justify its price.
Logitech FreePulse Wireless Headphones
The Logitech FreePulse Wireless Headphones are remarkably light headphones. The sound quality is decent overall with an emphasis on bass. The Bluetooth transmitter can be used with any audio source that has a minijack headphone output.
The Pro-Ject Hear-It 1 headphones are decent but not the greatest value.
Skullcandy Double Agent headphones
The Skullcandy Double Agent headphones offer a unique and stylized all-in-one design, but they're not particularly comfortable, and sound quality is subpar. Unless your main goal is to do away with wires and stand out from the crowd, these are not the best option.
The Samsung Jet is a powerful multimedia phone with decent performance and a few welcome user interface upgrades. But don't mistake it for a smartphone.
Nocs NS700 Phaser Review
The good: The Nocs NS700 Phaser on-ear headphones offer decent sound for the money, fit snugly, and seem well built. They also have an Apple-friendly in-line remote/microphone,
The bad: The headphones don't do much to distinguish themselves from the competition. Several other headphones have the same design and while the sound is decent, it doesn't exceed expectations for a $99 headphone.
The bottom line: The Nocs NS700 Phaser headphones are decent headphones that are hurt by the fact that they don't do enough to distinguish themselves from the competition -- from either the standpoint of design or performance.
