[Intro Music] Announcer: Everybody welcome back to another edition of Crossfade TV, I'm Mike Tao and after a few weeks off, I'm back with another can't miss artist on our site. This week my money is on the funk band, Orgone, who dropped their latest album the The Killion Floor last October. [Sound Clip] Now the group consists of members of groups like Breakestra, Connie Price and the Keystones, daKah Hip Hop Orchestra and the Dat Kings, so I guess you can consider Orgone as an all star line up from these groups. Whatever you wanna call it, Orgone's gotta funky throw back soulful sound mixed with a little bit of disco on the cusp like the rework on KC and the Sunshine Bands, I Get Lifted and Dolled Up, which you can find on our site. [Sound Clip] This album is a no brainer for all you Amy Whinehouse and Sharon Jones' fans out there. My pick for this week is one of the most rocked about British acts within the Indy dance circles. They go by the names Foals and their debut album Antidotes to be a killer release for two thousand eight. Check out the albums first single, Balloons. [Sound Clip] Antidotes was recorded in Brooklyn and was proceeded by Dave Sytek of TV of Radio, however according to band interviews, some final mixes were scratched out in favor of the bands own. And that said, in spite of whatever disagreements they may have had, the albums end result is undeniably catchy containing Sytek's New York noise and soul traits along with enough bass to get the Indy kids dancing. Kurt: Hey, it's Kurt and this week my pick is the Gutter Twins a new collaboration between the former grunge gods Mark Lanegan and Greg Dulli. They just released a brand new album that's called Saturnalia. [Sound Clip] Dulli previously led the Afghan Whigs and now fronts the Twilight Singers. Lanegan was in the Screaming Trees, but is now best known as a solo artist. If you're already a fan of either mans work, it's a fair bet you'll like the Gutter Twins. You'll know what their about as their songs are pretty dark, heavy and brooding. See what I mean on the albums first single, Idle Hands.
