>>Donald Bell: Hey, I'm Donald Bell for CNET.com and today I'm going to show you how to create basic music play lists on the iPad. ^M00:00:06 [ Music ] ^M00:00:15 Manually creating and organizing play lists might not sound like a big flashy feature but it's actually one of the unique capabilities of the iPad's music player that isn't shared with the iPhone or iPod. To get started launch the iPad app, click the Plus button in the bottom left corner and give your play list a name. Then, scroll through your library and add tracks for your play list by pressing the blue Plus button on the right side. By default, you'll see an alphabetic listing of all your songs, which isn't ideal if you have a large music collection. To narrow things down, you can hit the Tabs on the bottom and sort by artists, album genres or composers. If you click through to an artist or album, you can pull down on the listing and you'll see an option for adding all the songs on the page. You also have the option of pulling songs from other play lists. Click on the Sources button up here in the upper left corner and you can select any of your play lists as well as any podcast or audio books. When you're done, just hit the blue Done button up in the right corner. You'll see a tentative list of all the songs you've added which you can reorder by dragging around or delete by hitting the red Minus button and press and delete. When it looks good, hit the Done button again. That's it. You've made a play list on the iPad. If you ever want to go back and make any tweaks just select the play list and tap the Edit button. For CNET.com, I'm Donald Bell.
