>> We all love custom ringtones, so I'll show you a few ways to create and load ringtones on your Droid or Android phone for free. Now if you like creating ringtones from files on your computer, check out a website called Audicode.net, it lets you upload audio files to their site, then you can edit the section you want for your ringtone, and download the correct version. Since we're talking about Android phones, download the MP3 version to your desktop. You can also use any other application on your PC or MAC to create your ringtone, Audicode.net is just a suggestion from me. Now to get your ringtone loaded, you'll need to put your phone into USB storage mode. Connect it to your computer with a USB cable, then on the notifications pull-down, select USB connected, and then select alarm. Your phone storage will now appear on your desktop, open it up, and if you don't see a folder called media in the main directory, create it. Then inside of that folder, create 3 more folders for alarms, ringtones, and notifications. Now all you have to do is drag and drop the ringtones or MP3 files you created into the appropriate folder. Once that is done, turn off the USB storage mode from your phone and disconnect the USB cable. Now jump into your phone settings, and go into the sound and display settings, and from here you'll be able to set your phone ringtone or notification sound from the files your created. Now that's just one way, but there's also a couple apps you guys should check out. Ringdroid is a free app that allows you to take a song from your music library, edit a segment of it, and create and save a ringtone notification or alarm directly on your phone. You can also record audio from its mic to create files as well. The Below ringtones is also free and it allows you to search for a popular ringtone, download it, and then set it. It won't find everything you're looking for, you won't have any editing capabilities, and it isn't the most stable app, but it's another option.
