Crave: Keyboard pants with a zipper for your joystick! Video Transcript

>> A pebble that plays music, easy panoramas and keyboard pants, plus Bonnie Cha in the studio, say Hi Rose.

>> Hi Rose.

>> All that and more on Crave. ^M00:00:09 [ Music ] ^M00:00:12

>> Hey what's up guys, you're watching Crave our weekly podcast for all the cool things in tech; and we brought back the boom, Miss Bonnie Cha, thanks for coming out.

>> Sure thanks for having me back.

>> So we talk about all those crazy, goofy, quirky things in tech and Bonnie you probably came with something to talk about right?

>> I did, not so goofy, but it's the Samsung S2 Pebble MP3 player. It's basically a really basic MP3 player but it's really pretty. It looks like pebbles.

>> Like a shiny rock.

>> Shiny pebble, yeah and it comes in like five different colors like red and green and it's only 39 bucks.

>> That's really cheap.

>> Yeah so you can get the whole pebble collection.

>> I'm really excited because this week Mario Kart for the Wii launched and in celebration of that we brought the Wii wheels here, and I just wanted to see if you wanted to take a little ride with me right now. You're ready to go? Okay ready?

>> Doot, doot. Oh, oh my gosh.

>> Are you like driving, [inaudible]?

>> I don't know. Go. Okay now straight.

>> That was fun.

>> That was like our first date.

>> I didn't realize it was date.

>> I know that's because I'm not smooth.

>> I have the Band [phonetic] Olefson [assumed spelling] touchless remote. Now it's just a concept right now but you can basically like do things with the touch of your hand like this. Like you hand turn on the stove or like brew pots of tea; so you know if you're like handling chicken or something and you don't want to touch it you can just be like...

>> So how do you not touch the chicken to get the chicken in the oven?

>> That's the whole purpose of the touchless remote.

>> So if I was chopping the chicken I'd go pow, pow, pow, pow, pow, like that?

>> You're not getting this.

>> Another kind of cool thing that I looked up on the Crave blog is this thing called the panomatic [phonetic].

>> Yeah I saw that.

>> And it's this little attachment that's about this big that goes on a tripod and basically goes in 12 different positions so you get a perfect panorama.

>> That's cool.

>> Yeah I like that.

>> Yeah I do too.

>> Yeah mine always turn out blurry or something.

>> Yeah well that's cause you can't hold it steady. That's not a panoramic issue actually.

>> That's my issue is that what you're saying.

>> That's your problem.

>> And now it's a time for a segment that you all love. I know it's your favorite right?

>> Sure.

>> Thanks.

>> Yep.

>> Do not crave. Where has tech taken over next? Well if you ask me it's in the world of fashion and everyone has been talking about these. The beauty and the geek jeans. Yep take a good look. Those are jeans with a keyboard sew into the fabric. Now there are speakers built into the knees and a pocket to hold your mouse. Another cool feature--a joystick controller located just behind the front zipper. I'm really happy pix of that function were not included, but honestly, I'm kind of torn over these pants. Yeah their totally geeky but they could work to your advantage. Like maybe you've got a girlfriend who's writing a paper; why not like damage her keyboard, pour water all over it so she can use your keyboard jeans instead while you're wearing them. [Laughter] Okay back to reality guys, I'm sorry. We can imagine the possibilities but if you actually want to get a girl in the first place, come on now, we just got to say, do not crave. So what did you think about that?

>> I'm not sure what's scarier--the pants or your little evil laugh.

>> Well maybe if I wore the pants you could try them out and then you let me know right?

>> No maybe not.

>> Well you know we don't have any crave trivia this week but those jeans are like so right for one liners we decided that we wanted to do something for you guys instead.

>> So send in your best one liners for these pants and we'll choose the top three.

>> In fact that's how people get some goodies from our friends at Kensington; all these cool things will be getting to you. Top three send in your one liners because we want to see them right?

>> Yeah.

>> And that about does it for the show this week.

>> Cool.

>> Thanks for coming by.

>> Absolutely.

>> And everything you saw here go to crave.cnet.com and e-mail us at drivingmecravy@cnet.com and we'll take care of you guys. So I guess we'll see you next week.

>> Sounds good.

>> Okay Adios.

>> Bye. ^M00:03:55 [ Music ] ^M00:03:57
