Crave: Do you Crave the iPhone 3G? Video Transcript

>> Brian Tong: Rolly speakers, fabric BMWs and a makeout robot? Plus Miss Natali Del Conte in the studio: say "What's up?"

>> Natali Del Conte: Hello.

>> Brian Tong: All that and more on Crave. ^M00:00:09 [ Music ] ^M00:00:11 What's up guys? You're watching Crave: everything that's cool, quirky and tech and everything that you find here you can find on our blog at Crave.cnet.com. We've got Miss Natali Del Conte: our east coast import.

>> Natali Del Conte: Hello.

>> Brian Tong: Thanks for joining us. And Natali, you brought something for us?

>> Natali Del Conte: I brought the Sony Rolly. I've been coveting this for a long time. We saw it at CES and then I just saw Jasmine France [assumed spelling] do her review of it and I love it. It's a little MP3 player with speakers and I just haven't had a lot of good luck with MP3 speakers. And this one dances. It's eccentric or eggcentric [assumed spelling].

>> Brian Tong: She said eggcentric if you didn't get that.

>> Natali Del Conte: Eggcentric: get it?

>> Brian Tong: She'll be here all night ladies and gentlemen. What I got is a concept car from BMW. What they did is they're taking this idea of a metal frame and then stretching this textile fabric over the whole car. So it's a lighter car but it's also - you know - sexy. I don't know. It's kind of weird though.

>> Natali Del Conte: So, how do you wash that?

>> Brian Tong: I don't know. What if a bird poops on it?

>> Natali Del Conte: Yeah, exactly.

>> Brian Tong: Have you got like stains all over the front? You don't want that.

>> Natali Del Conte: I don't know.

>> Brian Tong: No?

>> Natali Del Conte: You're going to have to do some modeling shots on this car.

>> Brian Tong: Modeling shots on it? Okay just like that?

>> Natali Del Conte: Yeah, exactly.

>> Brian Tong: Okay. [Laughter]

>> Natali Del Conte: Like Lowrider Magazine. That's what I want to see.

>> Brian Tong: Alright now, we all know about the whole iPhone 3G buzz and craze. And since we're on Crave, we also want to talk about - you know - what do we crave or what are we still craving in the new iPhones? So...

>> Natali Del Conte: Lots. I wanted the camera to get better because I almost never use the iPhone camera. If I take a picture, the quality is just so crappy that I just feel like I almost would rather not have that picture.

>> Brian Tong: Now I want -- I definitely want the landscape mode thing.

>> Natali Del Conte: Yeah.

>> Brian Tong: I mean you use it. It would be so nice to just use that in emails or text messages.

>> Natali Del Conte: Totally.

>> Brian Tong: And then the one other thing is like I talked to AT&T, but like every time I call you, you go straight to voice mail, so I hope it fixes that feature. So maybe you'll pick up my calls.

>> Natali Del Conte: That's a privacy feature that I have instated - so - for you only.

>> Brian Tong: Alright, now you guys we're bringing back the trivia for you all. And if you've seen that we've done nicknames for myself and Bonnie on the show. So we've got to initiate Natali and we want you guys to send your submissions. If we get 2 that we really like, we're going to put them on air and you guys have a chance to win these cool hot cases from Gilty Coutour. It's like a silver, stainless steel case. We have them for the Touch and for the [inaudible] iPhone so you guys will be able to get those things, right? That's kind of cool

>> Natali Del Conte: Yeah, keep it PG. Keep it PG those, you know.

>> Brian Tong: Yes.

>> Natali Del Conte: We'll keep them clean.

>> Brian Tong: Now, it's time for what you guys all know and love. I'm not going to do it this week: Miss Natali Del Conte. What do you got for Do Not Crave?

>> Natali Del Conte: Women have it hard enough these days. Air brushing and Photo Shop are the worse things that could possibly happen to the female image that makes us real gals feel perpetually inadequate. That's why I was especially disheartened to hear about Sega's new Kissing Robot called the E.M.A. which stands for Eternal Maiden Actualization. This is a feminist nightmare. At 38 centimeters tall, the E.M.A. is known for her glamorous body and high level of interactivity. She hands out business cards, sings, dances and walks like a lady. What is that supposed to mean? Oh, and get too close and she'll plant one on you. That's right, when the robot detects proximity she waxes romantic and plants a smooch. My female competition will only launch in Japan and will cost 175 dollars, but I just don't like the direction of all of this. What if the next generation model can not only sing and dance, but also clean, cook and say flattering things that men need to hear to inflate their sensitive egos? Don't we single girls have it hard enough without having to compete with robots? For that reason, I just got to say "Do Not Crave."

>> Brian Tong: Wow. I want to get one of those like immediately. Sounds like my best friend.

>> Natali Del Conte: No, you don't want that.

>> Brian Tong: Did you say the word single just to like advertise your status to all the people that are watching...?

>> Natali Del Conte: No, I'm just saying - you know - it's hard for a woman.

>> Brian Tong: Okay, I...

>> Natali Del Conte: It's hard out there for a girl.

>> Brian Tong: Now, everyone knows. Hey, hey, hey.

>> Natali Del Conte: Come on.

>> Brian Tong: Now, you did Do Not Crave and I -- we wanted to bring kind of something on the set to find out - you know - on the spot if you crave or not crave. Okay?

>> Natali Del Conte: Okay.

>> Brian Tong: So, I'm going to stand up. You need to stand up with me, okay?

>> Natali Del Conte: Alright.

>> Brian Tong: It's alright, okay? So I have this cool shirt, and it's like these blinds. And it has this like string on it?

>> Natalie Del Conte: Yeah?

>> Brian Tong: But I'm wondering like, what happens if you pull this string. Just pull on it.

>> Natalie Del Conte: I'm afraid.

>> Brian Tong: Just pull on it. Just pull on it. So...

>> Natalie Del Conte: What?

>> Brian Tong: Do you crave or do not crave this shirt?

>> Natalie Del Conte: I'm going to say do not crave. Sorry.

>> Brian Tong: Alright, we'll see you guys next week. Thanks for coming. Thanks for coming out.

>> Natalie Del Conte: Yeah, thanks for having me.

>> Brian Tong: Alright, we'll see you guys.

>> Natalie Del Conte: Bye. ^M00:04:25
