I had to meet us from the inside -- joining me is trying -- senior editor for CNET thanks for being less of a problem. So you are going to San Diego this week effort come a time. Yeah I'm going to a place that will be very sweaty and smelly but it'll be great you know comic -- over to a thousand people descend on San Diego downtown San Diego for. Everything geek pop culture TV shows movies comic books -- cat animation. It's their vehicle's last name by opening the slightly staff China of the Dublin formula when it was the most important -- -- -- -- version of what's gonna happen so. Let's give people an idea because you've been doing for a few years now and it's not just for people who work with -- fans and it's not just. -- sugar -- publishing comic books that are there has -- one. It started its roots come from it -- -- -- -- small comic -- -- but now has become -- mainstream event probably the last five years. Where it's not just comic books -- -- movies. And TV shows anything that touches -- -- Fantasy realm you know medieval times I think so game -- -- popular series you'll see stuff like that comic -- stuff like Iron Man Marvel Comics you'll see that soffit. Ultimately also see kind of -- these new upcoming shows and now a lot of media companies are using at the launch pad. To showcase and preview and try and generate buzz because. All -- -- it's not just. Kind of what they might used to -- the past and geek convention into. Mainstream dimension and desperately -- -- no not not anymore but there's still plenty of them there for you. Some idea what you're. This year you an idea what you check in the picture yeah I think a lot of times when it makes comic con you -- is it's really convention that's -- For fans for the consumer who -- -- -- Although you might have to wait in line for three or four hours or maybe even a day if you like twilight X which I do know I -- I would never I would -- I would never go to the -- but you know the vampire phenomenon as is really huge but I'm just excited. To see a lot of times it's also about collectibles kind of they have a lot of greater. Hallways and collectibles and yes grown men still collect toys but also the chance to use it at these panels and -- cast members. An opportunity you'd never get a chance that you're not blocked by media because some like -- -- would have to wait in line. The same amount of time as a fan sentinel and is accessible there is no privileges -- there are forwarded to press members unless you have a real exclusive and then you're going to have to wait in -- like everyone else -- companies and and so. It's really one of those few conventions where. The wall has been taken down and you really do get a lot more direct access than you ever -- before the -- you're going to this year. On trying to -- at their -- for sure because now at the season is off everyone's like this diet eat anything they can raid on an entry -- we wanna see. Also the hot it Peter -- -- the in its use -- films that are not this year yet typically about the coming out. They show stuff -- will come out and about your work to be so -- and is -- right now -- as hot Wii or see anything like that comic on the salt now seen a couple of years. Yet as it's going to be fun -- like to get -- and it still relevant and convenient kind of told us but it. -- -- writers I think this is really the epicenter of pop culture. Right now. You know you have. A lot of different things going -- we've seen how comic book movies and -- -- -- geek culture has started that take over mainstream culture and this is really where it starts though. If everyone likes to get information burst beyond in if you wanna be on in comic con is one of those places to go so it's really where everything is this kind of pop in -- -- -- -- Bringing back something. Out of -- -- accurate and that yes yes yes it's a very 200000 people very -- For --
