CNET on your big screen TV Video Transcript
Hello, everyone! I?m Molly Wood and welcome to the CNET Mailbag, the show where I always ask you to send me snail mail and then I never read it on the show! That?s because I?ve been saving it all up ? for a snail mail special. I?ve got a nice little stack of letters and postcards to run through today, and a few email questions to answer, too. Let?s get started with a postcard from Luxembourg! Danny writes to say ?I?m a big fan of CNET. I?m Filipino and me and my wife live here. I?d just like to say that I enjoy CNET a lot, esp you, Jasmine France (hot!) and the rest of the crew.? Thanks, Danny. Luxembourg looks lovely. Joanne a.k.a engnr_chik writes to say, ?since I send you a card from the Big Island last year, I thought I would continue the tradition from Maui. The weather is fine and the snorkeling is great.? Heh. Thanks. Meanie. I also got this anonymous postcard, which says only, ?Hello from Japan!? Hello, Japan! And Graham says, ?Ni hao! I picked this up in Xi?an last year. Congratulations on BOL?s 1000 Episode! I wish I could be there, but my fianc? and I will return from China on the 22nd. She even lives in Petaluma! Terrible timing! I enjoy the CNET video podcasts especially since China does not block them anymore.? Ok, here?s how long it takes a postcard to get here from China. He says they?ll return on the 22nd ? and he means, of JUNE, since that?s when the BOL 1000th episode was. And I got this postcard on August 7th. Wow. Welcome home, Graham! And finally, Austin sent me this letter with a note on the envelope that says, ?This is the spelling misstate/mess-ups that were not our faults. Hope to see this on your show.? And there?s a picture here that says, I finally realized, ?cnet is my faveorite? ? I think he might have the pipe in the wrong place, but that?s a pretty cool like, potato word. And then he mailed what I assume is an autocorrect submission, but it has a bad word in it. I love snail mail. Thanks, Austin! Ok, moving on to your emails. Kathryn gives me a nice opening into announcing a cool new feature for you ? she says: OMG!! I love I can now set up season passes on my tivo for all the cnet shows I love. Now cnet tv can be on my tv and not on my sad 9 inch netbook screen. Thanks CNET :) That?s right, you can now get CNET TV video through your TiVo. To find it, press the TiVo button, and scroll down to Video on Demand. Choose ?Browse Web Videos,? and you can cruise up and down the list of titles until you find CNET. Then just start picking shows. I also host a weekly wrap-up called CNET TV Tech Weekly, where I choose cool First Looks and other video, and you should totally subscribe to that, too! It?s excellent. I think. And finally, at long last, some lovermail for me. Tyler writes to say: As a long-time listener of Buzz Out Loud, (since about episode #200), I have heard you mention the Gadgettes podcast many times. However, I was never really that interested in it. I decided to give it a shot, and listened to several episodes today. I can safely say that you and Kelly are some of the wittiest tech people in podcasting, I was literally laughing out loud. Everyone should listen to Gadgettes! Thanks for the great info, and for the laughs! Awesome, Tyler. Thank you. See? Stop resisting, everyone. Gadgettes: it?s not just for girls! And that?s it for this week, everyone! Keep the feedback and questions coming! Email me at Mailbag@cnet.com, or send your snail mail to 235 2nd St., San Francisco, CA, 94105. Thanks for watching, everyone.
