>> Welcome to CNET Top 5 where each time we meet we countdown another hot CNET list, I'm Tom Merritt. It's time to hit the old most wanted list this time. These are the products you all have ranked as the most desirable at CNET.com. And your tastes are changing a little. Let's see what I mean. Let's count down the Top 5 Most Wanted Gadgets. At Number 5, the Panasonic TH-42PX60U. It's a 42-inch Plasma. Would it be so hard for Panasonic to name it the Panasonic 42-inch Plasma TV? Anyways, it's got deep blacks, two HDMI ports and you all love it. Coming in at Number 4, the Sony-Ericsson Xperia X1. This phone is starting to generate iPhonish buzz in some geeky quarters. It's Sony Ericsson's big move from Symbian to Windows Mobile and of course it just looks cool. Up to Number 3, Vipre Antivirus Antispyware. Not exactly a gadget, but lust-worthy in its own security fetish kind of way. Veteran Security Expert Joe Wells work for about a year to create this newbie that combines antispyware and antivirus into a high breed package. Faster Vipre -- kill, kill. Sliding in at Number 2 -- Oh, would you look at that. Ol' granddad PS3 is joining us. Just can't bring yourself to leave the top 5, can you gramps. Pull up a chair and sit your freshly victorious Blu-ray drive down and rest the spell, will you? We might have to stop wanting you and actually buy you now, eh? Before we get to our most wanted gadget of all, let's check in on the most popular security software. Don't worry young Vipre, you can make that list. All right, other than old man PS3, it's been a rather unusual most wanted this time. Will our top spot surprise us? Let's find out. The Number 1 most wanted gadget at CNET as determined by you is the Nintendo Wii. Yup, the Wii. You know why, right? Because you still can't buy one two years after its release. I think they may have listed the Wii on an endangered console's list or something. It's maddening, but it keeps the little white magic box interesting now, doesn't it? The art of motion sensitive seduction, a study in Wii lust -- can make a good thesis. We'll that's it for this edition of CNET Top 5. Thanks to those who rank items in their Got It Want It list making the list possible. I'm Tom Merritt, see you next time. ^M00:02:38 [ Music ]
