>> Shopping for products can be overwhelming. I mean, look at all this stuff. How does one make sense of it all? Well, there's a lot of smartphone apps out there that allow you to scan the barcode of a product and then instantly pull up the pricing and product information. Now, if you're an Android user, there's the CNET scan and shop application. So what I do is I take the box, and with the application, I can do a quick barcode scan. And then instantly, I'll pull up information, product pricing, reviews from CNET editors to give me the good, the bad, and the bottom line of the product. If you want to pick them up from a web retailer, you can purchase it directly from the phone, and if you want to just go visit your local store, there's a map that shows you how to get there as well. You also have the ability to add a product to your wish list if you can't get it right now, and also, you can do a price watch where you set the price you want, and when it's at that price, you'll get an alert. All this to help make your shopping stress free. Yep, there's an app for that. For CBS News, I'm Brian Tong, CNET.com in San Francisco. ^E00:00:56
