Clean and disinfect your mouse Video Transcript
-Hey everyone I'm Sharon Vaknin for CNET.com and a quick and tip on cleaning and disinfecting your mouse. Your computer mouse is full of all kinds of bacteria and if you haven't made a habit of cleaning it, now it the time. The first step is to clean up all dust, crumbs, and cake on food. Unplug your mouse if it's wired or remove the batteries if it's wireless. Then take a lightly damp micro fiber cloth and wipe away all the scam. Once it's clean, flip the mouse upside down and roll the scroll wheel get out any crumbs or dust that stuck under there, and if you still need to get out more dusts, use compressed air. Now that it looks cleaner, it's time to disinfect. Get a disinfectant wipe and ring it out to get any excess liquid. Then wipe your mouse down, but be careful not to get any moisture into the cracks and openings. When you're done, take a lightly damp and micro fiber cloth, wipe it down and then dry it off with a dry micro fiber cloth. Disinfect your mouse everyday and try to do this whole routine once a week even if it means setting an alarm to remind yourself.
