>> You may know that CNET's car tech team really has a Chevy Aveo down in the garage, its test car. It's yellow. It looks like a Skittle that fell out of the package. This is not that Aveo. This is a very different car. It's the Chevy Aveo RS Concept. Kind of a bad ass, isn't it? Notice the [inaudible] all around the wheels and the bulges and lines and the combination of brushed and chrome. You've got this dual-level grille down here that says, I'm going to bite you. Functional scoops down here for brake cooling, fog lights are pushed out into the same kind of outlets. And overall, the car's got a little bit of a motorcycle theme to it. Check out the motorcycle-ish round bullet tail lights. Also, the way the dashboard, if you can call it that, houses one round gauge and a wing to the side. Again, kind of super sport-like stuff. And all those digital electro-fluorescent displays definitely have a premium look. You've also got a pair of center exit exhaust ports, door handles that are kind of flushed in and concealed. Of course, none of this matters if the engine doesn't bring it as well. So, 1.4 liter inline four, little bitty thing, but turbo-charged within an inch of its life to get 138 horse out of it, and a 148 foot pounds, and they conceive it as only be available with a six-speed manual. Hallelujah. It's a concept. No roadmap to production, but definitely would change your perception of an Aveo, wouldn't it? ^M00:01:29 [ Music ]
