>> I'm Will Greenwald assistant editor of CNET.com and this is our look at the Casio Excelon EXZ1050 digital camera. It's a ten mega pixel snapshot camera. That other than being high resolution and having a small, slim frame, doesn't really have much to it's name. It shoots pretty well and it's images look pretty good but it only has a 3X lens, doesn't have any specific manual features beyond the usual ones. You're not going to get much more control out of this than you will your average snapshot camera. Like with the previous Excelon camera, the EXS770, it does have this nice side bar for when you're changing things like white balance, ISO, even manual focus. That's a very nice feature to have on a snapshot camera. It lets you rapidly change settings. This camera's screen, this two point six inch hundred and fifteen thousand pixel screen is coarse and very soft. Now when you're shooting high resolution, ten mega pixel images like this, you need to be able to frame them as well as you can. Otherwise this is pretty much just a pretty good digital camera with a problematic screen. I'm Will Greenwald and this is our look at the Casio Excelon EXZ1050 digital camera. [ Music ]

Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z1050 (silver) Review
The good: The Casio Exilim EX-Z1050 10-megapixel camera has solid image quality, a very fast low-resolution Burst mode, and simple controls.
The bad: Terrible screen.
The bottom line: If it weren't for the poor LCD, the Exilim EX-Z1050 would be a pretty good camera.
