>> Alright guys, Brian Tong here with CNET at CES 2009. I'm in a car and we're featuring the CarStars personalized media system. That's a collaboration between two companies; we have Gracenote and Voxonic. If you're unfamiliar with Gracenote, it does music recognition technology and if you've hear of the CD database, those are the guys behind that. Now, Voxonic does voice transformation technology and what they can do is transform any voice into any foreign language. So what we have here is the CarStars system, what it does is it takes my entire music collection and essentially indexes it. We're gonna do that right now.
>> This is Mimz and it looks like you're a fan of my music, would you like me to be your personal music guide?
>> So check down my music collection and it suggested Mimz for my personal guide. I listen to a lot of hip-hop so it knows what it's doing. You can also check out other artists from different genres, [inaudible]. You can check out, here's something from jazz and pop and things like that. Now, another really cool thing about this system is it uses the GPS chip in here. So let's say I'm hanging out, driving around the beach or looking at a scenic view, it knows that and it finds the music in my collection and suggests songs that match that feeling or attitude so you gotta love, you know you wanna get into the mood, it does it for you.
>> I see you driving by the beach, would you like to listen to some of my favorite beach music? [ Music ]
>> Now this is where the magic between these 2 companies happens, you can take Mimz voice and we have other languages like German, French, Japanese. I wanna hear Mimz Japanese. [ Foreign Language ]
>> Wow! That was some pretty crazy Japanese Mimz, domo arigato. Alright guys, this will be a deal or option available some time around 2011. Users will be able to download themes, additional voice packs. So there you go, the CarStars personal media system, I'm Brian Tong for CES 2009. Mimz what you got, we're here in Vegas, let's hear it. ^M00:01:50 [ Music ]
