>> Hello. I'm Phil Ryan, senior editor CNET.com. And we're taking a look at the Cannon Power Shot SD1000. As part of Cannon's SD line, which they also like to call the digital elf line, the SD1000 is a pretty slim camera. Overall it's a pretty small camera actually and should fit into most pockets. Shouldn't have a problem bringing this one along with you. It's a 7 point 1 mega pixel camera with a 3X optical zoom, so don't expect to zoom very far with it. But it should do what you need it to do in most situations. It's got a two and a half inch LCD screen on the back. And it can go up to ISO1600, but in our tests we found that the noise, the noise is pretty high at ISO1600. It also has Cannon's latest Digic 3 processor in it, which means that it has face detection. So you can point it at whoever you want to take a picture of and it should outline their face and use that for auto focus and for exposure. Overall we like this camera. It makes nice images and its small size should appeal to most people. I'm Phil Ryan and this is the Cannon Power Shot SD1000. ^M00:01:21 [ Music ]
