Hey there. I'm Josh Goldman, Senior Editor with CNET and this is a look at the Canon Power Shot ELPH 310 HS. It's basically a pointing shoot for anyone that wants just a little more zoom. Instead of a 5x zoom that you might find at it's price, you get an 8x zoom that starts at a wide 28 mm. So not quite a long zoom but better than basic and still very small. And better than basic, pretty much sums up the whole camera. You get a nice 3 inch high rise screen on back, a fairly snappy shooting performance and excellent photo quality, indoors and out. The stuff I wasn't crazy about were the flat buttons and odd placement of the shooting mode and menu buttons on the side. The fairly short battery life. Its full HD video isn't the greatest and the auto focus and auto mode isn't always the smartest. But otherwise, it's a decent camera for snap shooters looking for just a little more zoom but without the bulk. I'm Josh Goldman and that's the Canon Power Shot ELPH 310 HS
