>> Hi, I'm Molly Wood from CNET.com here at PMA 2009. I'm taking a First Look at the Canon Power-shot D10. Now you can see this is sort of bulbous top looking camera and that is in fact an appropriate appearance because this is a tough little camera. It is apparently waterproof up to 33 feet, shockproof up to 4 feet, which means you can drop it from about waist high and freeze proof until about 14 degrees Fahrenheit, so really obviously meant for camping, swimming, hiking sort of outdoorsy activities. It's also sort of fashion forward, it comes with 4 different colored face plates and I'm told that one of them is camouflaged which seems pretty appropriate for this little bad boy right here. It should be available in May with the price of about $329. For CNET.com at PMA 2009, I'm Molly Wood. ^M00:00:50 [ Music ]

Canon PowerShot D10 Review
The good: Excellent photo quality; comfortable to use in water or with gloves.
The bad: Poor design for an everyday camera, expensive for an occasional camera; kind of ugly; mixed performance.
The bottom line: It might not look quite right, but the PowerShot D10 is a solid entry into rugged cameras for Canon.
