>> Well, if you recall my coverage of the LA Auto Show at the tail end of 2009, you know we were sitting there smearing the drool of our chin over the CTS Coupe. And they said yeah, we're probably going to have a CTS-V sooner than later. This is sooner. Here we are at the top of 2010 at the Detroit show, and the CTS-V Coupe is being shown. Doesn't hit the market until June or so, but still, it's in the pipeline. On the outside, you can spot it several ways. One, of course, is this deep breathing mesh grill, which they say is functionally different in that it lets the car breathe better for a very different motor. This has got the 6.2-liter, super-charged V8, the kind of thing that gives you some night sweats, 556 horsepower. Available, interesting and generously, I think, with two gearboxes, six-speed manual or an automatic six-speed transmission. Now, magnetic ride control is a key part of this performance package, sampling every millisecond or so of the road conditions to give this thing the best possible footing. With that kind of power under tap, you want to do that. Beyond that, we're seeing a few differences around the style. Not much. One of them is this available saffron colored seat insert option. It's a CTS-V Couple unique thing. Some other spotter's cues: unique wheels, Brembo calipers hide behind them, and the bulge in the hood makes room for the Eaton supercharger. Nothing phony about that, it's really sitting under there. So CTS-V Coupe already in the pipeline. Comes out June 2010. Pricing and MPG, that'll follow. ^M00:01:35
