>> Hi, I'm Molly Wood, and welcome to the Buzz Report. This week two hundred dollars sparks a one million dollar lawsuit, Wii shortages continue, and there's fur in the tubes. But first, it's the Gadget of the Week. The gadget of the week is the Serenada [assumed spelling] mobile from Samsung, and Bang and Olfsen [assumed spelling]. It's a four gigabyte flash-based music phone that hopes to take on the iPhone in terms of design and music functionality. And it goes on sale in Europe at the end of the month. Let's check it out. ^M00:00:30 [ music ] ^M00:00:45 [ background music ] Now I'm not positive, because the website doesn't actually have any real information, but this phone might come preloaded with fifteen annoying new age songs. Wow. But it looks really good. In our top story this week, a New York woman is suing Apple for one million dollars over it's two hundred dollar iPhone price cut. For more on this story, The Buzz Report investigates.

>> Dong Mae Lee waited hours in the not very cold weather outside the Apple store in New York City. Finally, after an unspecified amount of time in line she got her hands on the ultimate prize, the four gigabyte Apple iPhone. Imagine her horror when just two months later Apple cut the price of the eight gigabyte iPhone by two hundred dollars. Lee had no choice. She's suing Apple for one million dollars over the two hundred dollars that she didn't spend to get a phone with four gigabytes more than the phone that she did spend five hundred dollars on. According to Lee, Apple is guilty of price discrimination, and of preventing her from making a little quick cashola. She says that now that the iPhone is cheaper, she won't be able to make any profit by selling her four hundred ninety nine dollar four gigabyte models on eBay. It hardly makes any sense at all, but when it comes to the American legal system, it doesn't have to.

>> Too true, my friends. Too true. In other news this week, some children just won't get a Wii under the Christmas tree this year. Nintendo of America says it simply will not be able to meet demand for its Wii console this holiday season. Hey, but you know what will meet consumer demand this holiday season? ^M00:02:33 [ music ] ^M00:02:42 Yeah, so maybe Nintendo, you want to get Mario working on stamping out some more Wii's, instead of goofing off all day with the happy flowers. ^M00:02:48 [ music ] ^M00:02:55 And finally, let's have a look at what's clogging the tubes. This week the tubes are clogged with fur and Clingon blood wine. Apparently, some furries met some trekkies for a bowling tournament at Midtown Lanes in Atlanta, Georgia. And no, I could not make this stuff up. ^M00:03:10 [ music ] ^M00:03:27 [ background music ] Ha, ha, ha, wow. Do you think that trekkies invented furries so that they would seem more normal? I'm Molly Wood, and this has been The Buzz Report. Thanks for watching. ^M00:03:36 [ music ]
