>> Okay, the dust has settled, and BlueRay is the new standard for hi-def video on a disk. Here's how it works. First, you need a BlueRay deck. There are a bunch of them out there. And they all cost a lot more than the last regular DVD player you bought. By the way BlueRay decks also play your old standard DVDs, the ones you already own. And most to the decks now play audio CDs as well. You're gonna want to connect to a hi-def television. An SD or ED TV just won't cut it. And you're gonna probably want to use one of these rather pricey HDMI cables. Now if you can find a deck that includes one, you may save 40 to 60 bucks. If you have to buy one, buy a cheap one. They don't need to be expensive. Finally, start buying or renting BlueRay movies. Remember, BlueRay decks don't create hi-def on their own. They need BlueRay discs. And if you want to get near hi-def from your old DVDs, you might want to consider an upconverting deck. But that's another topic. ^M00:01:01 [ Music ]
