>> Mr. Goodwin: What's up everybody? Antuan Goodwin here giving you your first look at the BlackBerry VM605 Visor Mount Speakerphone. The NM605 is a slim profile speakerphone and although it's branded and marketed as a blackBerry accessory it should work with any mobile phone that can be paired by bluetooth connectivity with a pin. It's supports voice and a2dp audio streaming. The unit measures about 4 1/2 inches long, about 2 inches wide. Now the majority of the unit' glossy front panel is one big button. Aside from being a fingerprint magnet it can be held to power to unit on or off or tapped to start or end a call. Along to top are four icons for battery, call, connection, and FM status. And the bottom quarter of the device is occupied by a speaker. The leading edge which is the part that faces the driver when in use is where you'll find the pinhole microphone. And along to sides are a volume rocker a micro-USB charging port and an FM button. Now the unit features a built in FM transmitter. So pressing the FM button will cause the unit to scan for clear FM frequency which it will verbally announce. Once locked in you should be able to tune your car stereo to the proper frequency to hear your calls and any streamed audio over the vehicle's speakers. You can charge by its micro-USB port by connecting to a PC or with its included 12 volt charger. The VM605 doesn't really do anything beside answer calls, receive streamed audio, and its FM transmission trick. It's a fairly basic speakerphone that doesn't import your contents like the Parrot Mini kit slim so you'll have to depend on your phone's voice dial feature for some truly hands free driving. This has been Antuan Goodwin giving you your first look at the BlackBerry VM605 Visor Mount Speakerphone. ^M00:02:02

BlackBerry VM-605 Visor Mount Bluetooth Speakerphone Review
The good: The BlackBerry VM-605 features a loud speaker for clear calls. Built-in FM transmission allows drivers to make use of their vehicle's stereo for calls and music.
The bad: The wire-spring visor clip is easily bent if handled roughly. FM audio quality is highly dependent upon your local airwaves.
The bottom line: The BlackBerry VM-605 speakerphone matches our current Editors' Choice in all ways but build quality. However, its lower MSRP makes it a worthwhile alternative.
