BlackBerry Q10; the keyboard lives Video Transcript

Hi, guys. This is Brian Bennett for CNET.com and we are here in New York at BlackBerry's brand new BlackBerry 10 launch event. We're checking out the brand new BlackBerry Q10. Now, this device may look familiar to a lot of you Blackberry users out there. It has basically a very bold style similar to the Blackberry Bold that is legendary among BlackBerry users and it also has a QWERTY keyboard here, it also has these sculpted keys and you can tell that the fronting goes across on to the side as well. And essentially, this device has all of the major components as the other device that was announced today, the BlackBerry Z10. It has a quad core Snapdragon S4 Plus processor, it's dual core and it has an 8-megapixel rear camera on back here, you can see with an LED flash and on front it has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The screen is a 3.1-inch AMOLED display, which is kind of interesting. On the side you've got a micro USB as well as an HDMI connection. If you wanna output movies and that type of thing. And on this side, you've got a very slim volume key here and also a little select button in the middle. Also nice is that it can remove the back cover to get the removable battery, which is 2100 milli-Amps as opposed to the 1800 milli-Amps on the Z10. So that gives you a little bit more juice especially if you're an hour user. Another cool thing it has NFC, Bluetooth, a lot of the bells and whistles that allow the new smartphones from, you know, on Android platform or some of the iOS devices have. So, all in all, it's a very nice looking device. So, definitely wanna check this out for review when it's available. BlackBerry says it'll probably hit store shelves in April in the U.S. so, we'll have to stay tuned and see how that works out. I'm Brian Bennett. This has been a first look at the Blackberry Q10.
