Beyerdynamic T90: High-end cans with remarkably accurate sound Video Transcript

I'm David Carnoy, executive editor for cnet.com and I'm here with the Beyerdynamic T90 Tesla Headphones. This is an expensive headphone. It retails for around $650 online, but is very well built. It sounds great. It's extremely accurate. This is the first open back design for the Tesla series. All the other models have a close back design and that open back design allows for a little bit better stereo imaging. It also does leak some sound, however this model really is designed for home use rather than mobile use. It has a 10-foot long cord, very comfortable with nicely padded ear cups. You can really wear these headphones for long periods of time. As I said, this is a very expensive headphone although there are more expensive headphones that's really designed for audio files and the good news here is it, well it's $650, it does measure up well against headphones that cost over $1000. I'm David Carnoy and that was the Beyerdynamic T90 Headphones handcrafted in Germany. Thanks for watching.

Beyerdynamic T90 Review

The good: The full-size Beyerdynamic T90 uses advanced Tesla magnetic flux technology to produce remarkably accurate sound and its open-back design creates more spacious stereo imaging. The T90 is also very comfortable to wear for long periods and measures up well against headphones that cost $1,000.

The bad: It's expensive and definitely not suited to on-the-go use; the open-back design will leak sound.

The bottom line: Sure, the Beyerdynamic T90 is pricey, but no other less-expensive headphone can match the T90's combination of comfort, sound, and build quality.
