Best products of the winter Video Transcript
Welcome to CNET Top 5, where each time we meet, we count down another hot CNET list. I'm Tom Merritt. This time, we're checking in on the big board. We've dug up the data on all the products CNET editors have reviewed during the past three months, ordered them up, and are ready to count them down in reverse order by rating. In other words, here are the Top 5 best products of the winter. At No. 5, The Booq Boa Squeeze, an Editors' Choice for laptop bags. It squeezes comfort, protection, and design into a sexy backpack. Be prepared to shell out about $100 for the privilege, but the privilege is worth it. Coming in at No. 4, the Image X10i headphones. For $350, you would hope they are good--and they are. These are iPhone-compatible headphones that are comfortable, well-balanced, with good bass. The worst thing we can say is that the wire gets tangled easily. Really, that's the worst. Up to No. 3, the Canon EOS 7D. This excellent midrange dSLR is fast flexible streamlined and has excellent photo quality. It costs about $1,700, and it delivers for the money. Sliding in at No. 2, the Aliph Jawbone Icon Another Editors' Choice for Bluetooth Headsets. It comes in different designs--like ACE and HERO-- and has a battery meter for your iPhone on it. Oddly, it does not have a volume control. But it still delivers great call quality. Before we get to No. 1, time for another lame prize question. Here's the deal. Be one of the first 10 people to answer the question correctly at the post for this Top 5 at blog.cnettv.com and you could be chosen to win 4-LOM with blaster pistol and blaster rifle, still barely sealed! Here's the question. The Jawbone Bluetooth headset began as a research experiment for whom? Person and organization please. blog.cnettv.com All right. Let's get to our No. 1. The best product of this cold cold winter. At No. 1, it's...the Dell UltraSharp U2711. An Editors' Choice monitor rocking the very rare 9.0 or 4.5 stars. We've never seen image fidelity on a 27-inch screen like this before. It's also full of features including nearly every kind of monitor connection you could want. Like pretty much every item on this list, it's pricey. It's $1,000 pricey, but it's worth it. Well that's it for this edition of CNET Top 5, don't forget to answer the lame prize question at blog.cnettv.com for a chance to win 4-LOM. Poor criminal protocol droid. I'm Tom Merritt. See you next time.
