Best products of the fall Video Transcript
Welcome to CNET Top 5, where each time we meet, we count down another hot CNET list. I'm Tom Merritt. This Fall saw many many great product releases. Our editors worked themselves to the bone testing and rating these products. And we've tallied their results. So, let's count down the Top 5 best products of the Fall. At No. 5, the Logitech Harmony 900. David Carnoy did not spare the praise, calling this the best universal remote control we've ever tested. It's ergonomic, it has RF, it's easy to set up. If only it didn't need a dongle to control the PS3. Coming in at No. 4, the Samsung SP-A900B projector. Kevin Miller says it outperforms every projector in its class. It boasts nearly perfect primary and secondary colors and superb black level! If it were only less than $13,000, I might buy two! Up to No. 3, The third generation of the Apple iPod Touch. This one adds voice control, better graphics, a faster processor, and more storage. It's also just good leading avowed Zune fan Donald Bell to grant it CNET's Editors' Choice award. Sliding in at No. 2, the Sennheiser HD 800 headphones. If you want the experience of having full size speakers sitting comfortably next to your ears, get these headphones. Just be warned they cost as much as many flat panel televisions. Before we get to No. 1, it's time for another lame prize question. Here it is. In 1937, what company produced a model of headphones considered the first dynamic headphones, and are still in production today? Be one of the first ten people to answer correctly at blog.cnettv.com and you could win.... This set of read-along Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back cassette tapes! Suitable for listening to with headphones! All right. Let's get to our No. 1. The best product of the fall as determined by our CNET reviewers. At No. 1, it's the Logitech Performance Mouse MX. I use this every day at home. It can use a glass surface, no need for a mouse pad, has a two speed scroll wheel, and the tiny USB microreceiver, does take up a port, but never loses a connection like other Bluetooth mouses I've used. I agree with Rich Brown who says it's a justifiable indulgence for anyone who takes their cursor control seriously. Well That's it for this edition of CNET Top 5. Don't forget to answer the trivia question at blog.cnettv.com for your chance to win a couple of cassette tapes! Star Wars cassette tapes! With books! I'm Tom Merritt. See you next time.
