Best laptops Video Transcript

Welcome to CNET Top 5, where each time we meet, we count down another hot CNET list. I'm Tom Merritt. Tablets have gotten a lot of attention recently, stealing the limelight from Netbook. But I ask you, what's wrong with a good old fashioned laptop? Nothing I tell you. And there are some good ones available. Let's count down the Top 5 best laptops. At No. 5, the Toshiba Satellite E205-S1904. It's our best rated mainstream laptop. It's slim, fast, affordable, and has Intel's Wireless Display technology. Coming in at No. 4, the HP Mini 5102. Well, we had to give one Netbook it's due, especially because the 5102 is so sturdy and stylish it might as well be counted as a laptop. Up to No. 3, The Sony VAIO Z Series VPC-Z116 GX/S. The name says it all. It's a thin and light laptop with a huge 256 GB solid state hard drive to go along with it's huge model number. Sliding in at No. 2, the Gateway NV7915u. It's our best desktop- replacement laptop, and, overall, the most well-rounded of the laptops on the list. Plus it has a budget price of about $600. Before we get to No. 1, it's time for another lame prize. Be one of the first 10 people to answer the question correctly at blog.cnettv.com and you could win TWO sticks of 512MB DDR RAM for laptops. Here's the question: What was the first commercially available portable computer in September 1975? All right. Let's get to our No. 1. The top of or best laptops list At No. 1, it's...the Apple MacBook Pro. Just refreshed with Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processors and new NVidia graphics making it still an all-around fantastic machine. Well, that's it for this edition of CNET Top 5. Don't forget to answer the lame prize question for a chance to get the old sticks of RAM. Used in actual CNET computers! I'm Tom Merritt. See you next time.
