Behind the scenes at CNET's CES 2012 booth Video Transcript

Hey guys. Brian Tong here at Las Vegas at CES 2012. And, we're just a couple of days before the show starts. Everyone's unpacking their boxes and setting up their stages. We wanted to give you guys a first look at what people would see here from the South Hall Escalator and right away, boom, there you have it. That is our 25-foot (Ever Brian?) Screen with all the announcements of what is happening at our CNET booth. And then next to it, you have this amazing 8 foot in diameter shiny, our CNET red ball logo. We kinda like to call it the Skittle because it looks like you can eat but that guy, we wanna take that bad boy home with us after the show. You'll also see right next to it, our stage from behind to see a ticker on top that has all the latest information on what's happening over there. But, enough about the outside, let's go inside the booth so we can show you what we have cooking inside there. Hey, guys. So we're here at the CES booth. We have all these boxes and crates that we'll pretty much unpack, most probable. You guys came to see us, walla, our entire CES 2012 stage. It looks beautiful. Right now, we have our first look at the studio. This is where a lot of our editors get the gadgets and the devices that you wanna see. They'll be shooting them here in front of everyone live. And then we can kinda come out here into our lounge area. This is where you all of you guys can kinda hang out with everyone. You'll see here, our friends in Sprint have provided this charge (insertion?) because you know what CES? You need power for your toys. Then, we've got this amazing wall here. We have 3 screen that are up here and I guess, you can call this our Wall of Fame. I don't know so much about that. Over here, we have our little lounge area where (??) set up and the lovely, the exclusive, you know you want of one these. How can I get them? Well, you come by our booth and maybe you will. All right, let's keep on walking over here. You'll see again, this is our main stage area, kind of a different look. We'll have our entire setup with our plasma behind there. This is where we'll have a lot of our live content to go in on but again it looks amazing. It's really reaching up high and tall. So we have just done an excellent presence here at CES. Now, in past years, you guys have been able to see our editors hard at work from the outside. This year, they're kinda behind this cloth curtain type wall but we wanna still show you what's happening inside, kinda some of the guts and the stuff that you really won't see at all if you're here at CES. So let's just kinda walk you this way. I am gonna take you over to our editing band station. This is where really all the action happens, all the first looks, all the pieces like the one you see here, will all be done. You guys are hard at work, right? Really working. Hey, the show is in 2 more days. So you know, they'll be hustling and crunching away in a little bit. Now, let's also a lot of audio and video equipment that goes on behind the scenes that controls all the screens and all the visuals you guys see here at our CES 2012 booth. So what we have over here, laptops with laptops. These are backups of some of the content that we're displaying. We have our flash animations for our schedules. Over here, this is some of the video content that you'll see that appears on our plasmas and then this big rig over here, this is the setup that controls that large 25-foot (Ever Brian?) screen. It pops and these are all the machinery that makes it work. And then of course, you see a lot of cables, you see a lot of bonds but over here, we'd love to have the screen within the screens that manages every single piece of content that you see pumped out from here and on to the stage. So that is the back of our huge 25-foot (Ever Brian?) screen. But, let's take you right here in to the control room. They're setting here where all the content is really directed and created and controlled. Now, we have all these people that reveals the entire stage. We still have people working on the stage right now. Let me give these guys a little bit of moral boost. Hey, guys. Nice job with the tape. See. They like that. All right, when we come out here, also you'll see what all the cameras are viewing. This will help our director put up the vision that he wants to see on the screen that you guys will see at home and then we're gonna kinda take you back down here because we have a lot of live content that's shooting out here, pretty much 24/7 during the entire CES 2012 Show. So what we have on our stage, right? All of our podcast like buzz out loud, the 404. We also have some amazing interviews that we're gonna be doing up here. One of our huge feature panels is gonna be (intact?). You'll find that here on our stage. Also huge interviews with LL Cool J and 50 Cent. He is coming back to our stage as well. Now, we'll have plenty of things and the biggest one, of course, is the Best of CES Award Show that you can see right here. So make sure you guys stick with us, watch all of our coverage at ces.cnet.com and all of our live coverage, videos, first looks, interviews, panels and award show. You can find that at cnet.com/live. So there you have it, just a couple of days away. We're here in our booth at CES 2012. We can't wait to get it started and we'll see you guys all through the week.
