>> The sheer number of Bit Torrent clients out there can be over whelming but they all do the same thing. Hi, I am Seth Rosenblack from CNETdownload.com and today we're taking a first look at Azureus, a Bit Torrent client that offers a clean design and great features. I've been using various Torrent clients for several years and although Azureus isn't my favorite, it's definitely one of the better ones out there. The interface should look familiar to anybody who has used a Bit Torrent client before. Next to open Torrents and create a Torrent there are four commands to change the cue order. Open shows you the folder that the Torrent is downloading to, host sets up a new tracker on your machine, while publish lets you list a Torrent on your trackers web page. Once you've fired up a Torrent, you can alter the save location of the Torrent, the cue position, the add mode, and which files in the Torrent you wish to download. You can also just go with the factory defaults and click okay at the bottom of the page to get started, and change other settings later. Azureus strength is in its bling, its extras. It's one of the few Torrent apps that's fully extensible and the built in plug in wizard makes it the best of the add on bunch. A list of about 50 extensions presents itself. Some of them you will need to look up on your own to see what they do but other like the RSS plug ins are fairly self explanatory. Azureus eats memory at a ferocious rate. The clean install chews up 7 times more space than competitor, U Torrent. Still, for those of the lots of RAM and love of add ons this might be the Torrent client for you. For CNETdownload.com, I'm Seth Rosenblack and this has been a first look at Azureus. Remember don't download anything I wouldn't download. ^M00:01:37 [ Music ]
