Asus Zenbook UX Ultrabook Video Transcript
-I'm Dan Ackerman and we are here taking a very first look at the ASUS Zenbook line that comes in 2 models that's the UX21 which an 11-inch and the UX31 which is a 13-inch. These are Ultrabook laptops, which is that new Intel category for really thin, really light laptops and they are kind of little bit like Apple's MacBook Air, but obvious run windows. Some of them are designed to be a good less expensive than the MacBook Air. These are very premium products that priced about the same as the MacBook that started 999 for 11-inch, a little bit more than that for the 13-inch. They all use solid state hard drives. The 11-inch has 1366 x 768 display. We like that the 13-inch has a 1600 x 900 display and of course unlike MacBook, you can actually get a USB 3 port on these, which is nice. They are super light, super thin solid metal construction. I like that along with this large touch pad and these are gonna be available starting October 12th. Again, it's running at $999 for the 11-inch model and going up from there, so not really a big price break from the MacBook Air on these. So, if you're looking for something that's kind of got that MacBook Air vibe, you need it to run windows natively, this is one of the cooler, the new Ultrabook laptops that we've seen that even has some very Mac like features like an instant on, resume that should wake it up in about 2 seconds and you can even leave it in standby mode for 10 days, which is something we like a lot about our MacBooks as well. The Zenbook UX21 and UX31 are gonna be available to order at some point later in October and again started at 999 for 11-inch and they go up from there.
