What's up prize fight fans? I'm Brian Tong and this is a battle that you the people asked for. So we're delivering. It's a prize fight punch out between the Asus Transformer Prime and Apple's new iPad. Now our judges for this fight are senior editor Donald Liberty Bell, senior editor Eric The Takeman Franklin, and myself All Night Tong. We'll take all 3 judges' blind scores and (??) amounts to nearest 10s be (??), the final price by it's score will be average of all rounds as the same decimal system. It's 6 rounds to the finish first one is design. The Asus Transformer Prime still brings the slickest android tab on the market with it's all middle exterior that's inner compared to the new iPad in a wide screen design but it's been played by (??) wifi and GPS issues. Not the new iPad takes a step back with a slightly thicker body and a heavier weight from the previous model. It's hotter when the temperature is a little over blown but still has a more natural feel when you're holding in. Unfortunately Apple has regressed instead of improving when it comes to design. We're calling this round a tie at 4.3 point a piece. Next round is control user interface. The Transformer Prime's ice cream sandwich OS provides elegance and functionality to android. It still requires a slight (??) curve but adds complexity for those who want it. Is the most customizable OS with widgets and were fans of the data porn heavy data usage utility. Now Apple's iOS is still the most intuitive operating system that (infants?) can use straight license, it's speed and simplicity but it's add more complexity with multi touch navigation and double tapping the home bond for quick access to settings. The question for you really is what you flavor but we give the new iPad the edge with a 4.7 and the transformer prime gets a 4.3. So after averaging two rounds, Apple leads by 2/10s of a point. Round three is features. If you're looking for a feature pack tablet, the Transformer Prime delivers. It's Quad Core tag 3 processor is a beast. You'll have a micro SD card software additional memory and micro HD (MI?) Support. Android's market place is now called Google play and it's a (??) media offering but if you wanna take things to the next level, it's a porch of $149 keyboard (dock?) that can transform the experience into a laptop that has longer battery life, a USB port a full SD card slot. This transformer makes megatron look like a little water gun. Now the new iPad's hardware makes under the hood improvements with a Dual Core A5X processor with four times the graphics power a 4G LT option is here and a 248 by 1536 resolution read in display that looks great. Wow. This looks great. There's (ACMI?) support with an adapter but no storage expansion. Air play compatibility makes to view your content of (breeze?) if you're an Apple freak with an Apple TV but it's echo system is it's greatest asset with it's robust iTunes and App Store that's still superior to Android's offerings. Now if you're looking for a feature creature the Prime shines and takes this round with a 4.7 and the new iPad gets a 4. Next round is web browsing and multi media. The Transformer Prime Chrome browser is just responsive as safari. Both browsers do not support flash but chrome syncs with desktop with marks as safari did the same over (iCloud?). Google play is a legitimate rival that's getting close to what Apple has to offer for content but iTunes still brings a larger (??) with plenty of exclusive content that puts to the head here. Now it's 8 megapixel (??) camera takes great pictures and captures 10 MVP video plus I'm kind of a (??) for the built in panoramic shooting mode. Now the iPad's 5 megapixel (??) camera off it's game with a more natural looking picture and it's 10 MVP video capture is excellent. Video playback looks great on both tablets but the iPad's screen improvement and resolution and color make the difference here and it gets a perfect 5 and the Transformer Prime gets a 4.3. So after averaging four rounds the new iPad leads by a (hair?). Round five is performance. The Transformer Prime has the best and class battery life for Android tablets at 9.6 hours of dues for our own CNET test. It's OS is super responsive and gave me looks great even though it's lacking games to play it's inconsistent wifi performance and GPS issues are being addressed but it's not something you want to hear. Now the iPad is always been the bench mark for battery life and the new iPad brings in an impressive 12.8 hours and video playback test with 4G turned off. It's interface snappier than the Primes and it's faster wifi performance is important too although a software issues were coming or it's sometimes moody wifi connection. Apple takes in this round with a 4.7 and the ASUS gets a 4. This fight is almost over and the final round that decides it all is value. The Transformer Prime retails at 499 for it's 32 gig model compared to the iPad's 499 price tag for it's 16 gig version. Now the Transformer Prime can do more if you're willing to pay extra for the (doc?) but the new iPad is made improvements across the board well keep you the same entry level price. This is a close one but we're giving Apple the edge with a 4.7 and the Transformer Prime a 4.3. So let's average out all six (Slobber?) knocking rounds with a new iPad taken early lead. The Transformer Prime fall back but it's just couldn't get over the hump and the new, New iPad takes this battle 4.6 to 4.3 and it's your price fight winner. I'm Brian Tong. Thanks for watching.
