Hey guys, this is Eric Franklin from CNET.com. I'm in Asus's Intel Event in San Francisco and if you haven't already had it up to here, which tablets that are also laptops that are also tablets, that are also laptops, that are sometimes desktops in the case of the Trio, then Asus has something you'll probably recognize. This is the Asus Transformer Book T100. It's a 10-inch Windows 8.1 tablet with a 1366x768 resolution screen. It also is one of the first tablets to run Intel's new optimize for tablets' Bay Trail CPU. As you can see, it's a convertible tablet and comes with a pretty full-size keyboard with a touch pad. The keyboard of course can be separated from the tablet, so you can go on in full tablet mode. The connections of the tablet include a micro HDMI port and micro USB port, micro SD, a headphone jack, and of course, power and volume rocker. On the keyboard dock, there's a full USB port and of course a touch pad. I wouldn't say it's the thinnest tablet I've ever touched and it's definitely not fat. I probably call it moderately pudgy. The tablet feels pretty comfortable in my hands. The corners are pretty well rounded. They don't really dig into my palms and the tablet isn't heavy enough for that to really be a problem. There is a front-facing camera, but no back camera. There is this kind of rubberized plastic backing that gives it kind of a tough feel. It doesn't feel that plasticky. But doesn't- definitely doesn't feel like a really ultra-high end device. The keyboard is probably a little bit wider than you'll be getting on the Android side. It feels a little bit wider, but it still feels kinda cramped, not as wide as like maybe the Surface RT touch cover. The Asus Transformer Book T100 is coming October eighteenth starting at $349 for 32 gigabytes in storage and $399 for 64 gigabytes storage. Stay tuned to CNET for more information on the Asus Transformer Book T100.

Asus Transformer Book T100 Review
The good: The Asus Transformer Book T100 runs full Windows 8.1, comes with a keyboard, has great battery life, and is a steal if you can find it for $350.
The bad: The cramped keyboard feels like an old Netbook's used to; not as fast as zippier, larger, more expensive Windows products; display not that vibrant.
The bottom line: The Asus Transformer Book T100 revives the Netbook value proposition (and Netbook usability issues) in a budget-price 10-inch laptop that doubles as a tablet. You won’t love it, but for sheer bang for the buck, it’s hard to beat.
