>> Dan Ackerman: I'm Dan Ackerman and we are here at CES 2010 with probably one of the most unusual looking laptops that we've run across at the show. This is the Asus NX90 and it's actually designed in conjunction with a subsidiary of consumer electronics maker Bang and Olufsen called Bang and Olufsen Ice Power and what they did was they came up with an idea for a multimedia laptop that was a little different than a multimedia laptops you usually see. I think one of the problems even with big massive 17 and 18 inch laptops is the audio. The speakers are usually still down here in the base kind of pointing up rather than pointing at you the viewer so they've got these big gigantic speakers here on the side and of course they've got this super glossy kind of consumer electronics home stereo rack system kind of look to it you can see its super shiny, probably attracts a lot of fingerprints but you know you polish it up it looks real nice. The most unusual thing is you look down here there's no touchpad where's the touchpad? There's actually 2 of them. You got 1 fully functioning touchpad over here and you have another fully functioning touchpad over here now why would you need 2 touchpad's? Well you know it kind of beats me but Asus is working on some cool multimedia software that will let you let's say scroll through your track selection with 1 finger and then on the other side actually select the track and then maybe later on do some more kind of cool DJ kind of scratching stuff. They've got about a quarter or so before this thing comes out so they're still working on that software concept but you can see they have some ideas kind of what they want to do with that. Now obviously as a big home theater laptop this guy is super powerful. You can get a Core I7 from Intel. You can get your choice of high end in video or AMD video graphics and even a Blu-ray drive and despite all of that it still starts at 1999 which is you know a lot for a lap top but not really a lot for a super high end home stereo media monster like this guy.
