"Letters to Defiance" trailer

During WWII Corporal Francis Seibert of Defiance, Ohio wrote to his family almost daily, illustrating his envelopes with elaborate cartoons--all 614 of these letters were lovingly saved by his mother.

This award winning documentary takes the 82-year-old Seibert through a historic journey as he revisits those letters for the first time in over 60 years.

Throughout all of these letters the underlying message is how important family is, how we take for granted what we have until it is taken away from us, and how often it takes a tragic situation to express how we really feel.

"Murderball" trailer

Featuring fierce rivalry, stopwatch suspense, and larger-than-life personalities, "Murderball", winner of the Documentary Audience Award and a Special Jury Prize for Editing at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival, is a film about tough, highly competitive rugby players. Quadriplegic rugby players. Whether by car wreck, fist fight, gun shot, or rogue bacteria, these men were forced to live life sitting down. In their own version of the full-contact sport, they smash the hell out of each other in custom-made gladiator-like wheelchairs. And, no, they don't wear helmets. From the gyms of middle America to the Olympic arena in Athens, Greece, "Murderball" tells the story of a group of world-class athletes unlike any ever shown on screen. In addition to smashing chairs, it will smash every stereotype you ever had about the disabled. It is a film about family, revenge, honor, sex (yes, they can) and the triumph of love over loss. But most of all, it is a film about standing up, even after your spirit - and your spine - has been crushed.

Steve introduces Matt to his younger brother Pete (Charlie Hunnam) and, through their friendship, Matt enters the world of football fanaticism and the secrecy and intrigue of the football firm. Pete Dunham and his close knit group of friends make up the Green Street Elite (GSE), a hard core group of West Ham United supporters ? and one of the toughest London football firms. All the football clubs have a firm and they all have one aim ? to be the most feared and respected mob in the country - no matter what it takes. As Pete explains 'West Ham's football is mediocre, but our firm's top notch and everyone knows it? it's really about reputation ? humiliating the other mob by beating them in a row or doing things that other firms get to hear about.' Matt is not only drawn into the sheer excitement of the game of football itself, but also the brotherhood and loyalty of life inside the GSE. The buzz that violence brings to him produces a sense of power that he has never before experienced. But Matt has been sparring with the truth about his past life and not every member of the firm considers him a 'brother'. Bovver (Leo Gregory), resents the presence of the outsider and his own apparent demotion within the ranks of the GSE. His continuing distrust and dislike of Matt creates a powder keg of jealousy and emotion that's just searching for an opportunity to blow. When Bovver discovers hidden information about Matt it sets off a devastating chain of events that tests friendship, loyalty, honor and determination in battle. Tragic consequences force Matt to acknowledge the cost of his actions and the painful lessons learned lead him to re-evaluate his future.

"Match Point" trailer

A one-time tennis pro, Chris Wilton (Jonathan Rhys-Meyers) was used to falling just short in his life. But when he befriends Tom Hewett (Matthew Goode) and marries his sister, Chloe (Emily Mortimer), the doors are opened to the kind of money and success that Chris has once only dreamed of. Chris should have settled for happiness, but he is torn by his attraction to Tom's impossibly beautiful and sensual fiance, Nola (Scarlett Johansson). The attraction turns to an obsession that forces Chris to make a critical choice. Now everything in his life hinges on if Chris falls short again...and whether or not his luck runs out. "Match Point" is a drama about ambition, the seduction of wealth, love, and sexual passion. Perhaps most importantly, however, the story reveals the huge part luck plays in events, refuting the comforting misconception that more of life is under our control than really is.

His mistress notifies him that his lead actor has a parasite in his brain and can?t remember his lines, and an old acquaintance regales him with tales of Steven Schwimmer, a new and powerful critic who is so poisonous, so destructive, that the New York theater community lives in terror. If his "cursed" Red Sox can finally win the World Series, maybe Nicky can break his own downward spiral. Scripted by acclaimed writer Don DeLillo, "Game 6" is an intelligent, witty, unsettling tale of one man's encounter with his demons, his passions and his infatuation with failure.
