>> Hi, I'm Michelle Thatcher with CNET.com here at Macworld 2008 and to my left here is a little white box. Looks, kind of like every other Mac little white box. However, this is the new product called Time Capsule. Time Capsule is essentially a network attached to backup drive. It's a full Airport Base Station with 802.11n connectivity, plus the server grade hard drive, so that you can backup all of your files from all the Macs on your network using Time Machine wirelessly. So, you can set up your Time Machine program to backup wirelessly to this drive. You don't have to worry about your data. It's in a separate container for security's sake. Time Capsule is available in two sizes, the 500-gigabyte size is actually $299, and the 1-terabyte size is $499. Now, these are pretty competitive prices for gigabyte, especially when you consider the seamless integration with Time Machine backup and this is gonna be, I think a really compelling choice for home users who have a full Mac network and don't wanna hassle with setting up backup software. Time Capsule is available for pre-order now, and will be shipping in two weeks. I'm Michelle Thatcher in Macworld 2008 for CNET.com. ^M00:01:14 [ Music ]
