>> Hey, I'm Donald Bell, Senior editor for Digital Audio and MP3 and today we're taking a First Look at Apple's new In-Ear headphones. These are $79 pair of headphones being offered by Apple. One of the most high-end headphones we've seen from Apple. There's twin drivers in each ear piece. There's three different ear fittings to get a comfortable fit to get these in your ear. And this is nice packaging, this is nice case for them. The earpieces themselves look very nice, looks like the silicon ear tips are removable and they can stay in place in your ears. Each of the ear tips are labeled, small, medium and large, so you can figure out exactly which one's is gonna be working out best for you. The other cool thing about these headphones is that they include Apple's clicker and microphone feature inline on the cable of the ear bud too. So you can use this for making voice recording through your iPod, also doing volume adjustments without having to touch your iPod and the clicker in the middle helps you play and pause your music or skip tracks back and forth. I'm Donald Bell and that was a First Look at Apple's new In-Ear headphones. ^M00:01:06 [ Music ]

Apple In-Ear headphones Review

The good: The Apple In-Ear headphones offer great sound, stylish design, comfortable ear tips, a one-year warranty, a spare set of mesh caps, and an in-line microphone with an iPod remote control.

The bad: The all-white design will show wear over time, and owners of older iPods and iPhones will face compatibility issues with the integrated remote and microphone.

The bottom line: If you own a new iPod or iPhone 3GS, the Apple In-Ear headphones are a great value. Owners of older iPods and iPhones will have to decide whether the mic and remote compatibility issues are worth overlooking for the substantial boost in sound quality.
