>> Brian Tong: What's up? Brian Tong here and unfortunately guys this is going to be the last episode of the Applebyte for 2009 and I know some of you almost started crying so wipe your tears and let's get to the show. Since it's the holiday's we wanted to give back to you and try to answer some of the many emails we get from you all. So let's just start with this. Adam writes: I'm in the market for a Mac book Pro, the 13 inch one should I wait till the next laptop revision with Intel bringing their Core I7 and I5 to the mobile space? Adam if you're not in a rush you should absolutely wait if you can. The last refresh was in June but if you need one right now it won't hurt to get one. A lot of people were just holding out with the hopes that Apple would be releasing a Quad 4 laptop but Intel's latest announcements point to no Quad Core solution at the moment. Alright let's check out what DJ writes: Hey Brian do you think Apple will but Blu-ray burners on the Mac books? Is DJ Slaughter [assumed spelling] really your real name or just your DJ name? That's what I want to know but to get your question I think we'll see the burning drive in Mac Pros and iMacs before we see them in any laptops. The latest desktops were almost begging for them but it's ultimately cost issue right now and it would be nice to have a build to order option wouldn't it Apple? Alright Greg asks us: Brian what is your opinion on the SSD that solid state drive? Is it an upgrade worth the price or is it all hype? I've heard from numerous people that the boot up speeds other Macs are significantly faster with an SSD but that the SSDs writing speed seems slower. Alright you are absolutely correct on this one G. Another thing that you should consider is that you can get a much larger capacity hard drive if it's not solid state because SSDs are limited in their capacity mostly due to their cost. Now I still haven't felt SSD makes such a world of difference that I need one and personally I'd rather take a larger storage capacity so you could pick which one you want. Now we also get some emails sent to us from CNETs overall feedback. Joe writes: in the last episode Brian is dancing around like a baboon on ecstasy with some other jackass to some soft rap like music for 2 bloody minutes. Please I'd rather shove my head in a blender than listen to myself sounding like T Paine [assumed spelling]. I think I'd barfed in my mouth a little as a matter of fact. Joe thanks for watching. Now at least we get emails from the real applebyters like Rob. Wow! Best episode of the Applebyte that you have ever made, well done! Thank you B Paine. Man you know what I like that name it kind of sticks so it does feel good to know that one person likes our stuff and you guys ask a lot of questions about my clothes quite often so get your pen and paper. If you want to figure out what I wear here's the list: Harmalu [assumed spelling], G Star Raw, Designed by Humans, Metro Park USA, Hot Topic, yes sometimes Hot Topic, LRG, Ben Sherman, Kid Robot, really the list goes on and on. The lesson of the day: just find what you like and make it yours or you can hire me as your personal shopper.
>> Oh la la.
