-Hi. I'm Rich Brown, Senior Editor for cnet.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at Apple's 21.5-inch Imac. This is the most affordable model an Apple's updated Imac line. It comes with the 2.4 giga hertz Intel core i5 CPU as well as the new Thunderbolt input, which in the future will allow very fast connectivity between the external devices and the system. For now, this is the very fast, very good looking all in one for a relatively affordable price. You can see that the design hasn't change in design actually from the previous model; so, as the same aluminum and glass construction. We also like the display quite a bit. It's very bright and the 1920 x 1080 resolution ensure you'll get full quality HD video. So most of the features of the Imac are the same, it comes with the wireless mouse and keyboard. Up here we have the web cam and the new Imac-- it's actually FaceTime compatible. You might be familiar with that from your iPhone or your iPad and lets you video chat between devices. On the side of the Imac, there is also the SD card slot as well as the DVD burner. Now you can see the one external change to the Imac in the back of the case, right here is the brand new Thunderbolt port that replaces the mini display port that used to be on the older Imac. Now Thunderbolt is actually mini display port compatible, but it also allows for all kinds of other data connection. There are no Thunderbolts devices out there just yet, but in the near future we expected external storage, video hubs, as well as other devices. Apple iMac 27-inch (27-inch, 2.8GHz Intel Core i7, fall 2009)

The good: As the most-affordable iMac, the Apple iMac 21.5-inch offers competitive speed, the unique potential of its Thunderbolt port, and Apple's trademark design leadership.
The bad: The 21.5-inch iMac isn't the best all-in-one for home entertainment, and its performance competitiveness suffers without an option for more video memory.
The bottom line: Apple's $1,199 iMac doesn't offer the same home entertainment features as Windows-based all-in-ones, but its speed, looks, and the future utility of its Thunderbolt port make it a strong choice for performance-sensitive professionals.
