Angry Birds board game Video Transcript
-Hi, I'm Natali Morris and we are taking a first look at Angry Birds, the board game, here at the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show. Now, this is a very low-tech product but it was inspired by, of course, a high-tech game which is Angry Birds which became popular on iPhone, Android, and all the mobile platforms. We heard that it's coming to game consoles. We've known that it's now available on the PlayStation and now it's available at a very analog version. This is a board game that you'll be able to buy from Mattel in just a few months for $14.95. They're saying it's 5 and up and you can tell why, because these little angry birds are very digestible by children. Anyone under 5 might just choke on this. So, if you have children 5 or up or you have child-like people in your life who really love Angry Birds, they're gonna enjoy this game. The way it works is you take a card from the stack. It will give you an obstacle course. Then you set up the obstacle course and you put your bird in the catapult and you then catapult it over. It's actually not as easy at it looks. We'll try it. Here. There it is. I'm amazing at it already. So, you've just taken a first look at Angry Birds knock-on-wood by Mattel. It comes out in May for $14.95. I'm Natali Morris for CNET and you're watching our coverage of the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show.
