Toots and the Maytals (featuring Shaggy): "Bam Bam"
Toots is one of the true architects of reggae - so much so that "Do the Reggay," a 1968 single by Toots and his group, the Maytals, is credited with giving the genre its name. Classic songs written and recorded by Toots and the Maytals have been covered by the likes of the Clash and the Specials, and the group was featured in reggae's greatest breakthrough event - "The Harder They Come," the 1972 film that became an international sensation. The all-star guests on TRUE LOVE range from legends like Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, and Bonnie Raitt to younger stars including No Doubt, the Roots, and Phish's Trey Anastasio. Haley is a young stripper in a world of drugs, prostitution, and violence. Her boyfriend J.J. is a petty thug tired of nickel and diming his way through life. With a huge payoff in mind, he forces Haley to seduce a strip club patron named Big Game James. An ambush quickly follows, but it all goes bad and ends with J.J. bludgeoning James. He takes the phone, a .38 revolver, and Big Game's black 1964 Chevy Impala. Now a wanted man, J.J. slips on his black sunglasses to protect himself from the hostile elements and proceeds to drag Haley down the sleazy streets, past the trashy joints to the scuzziest depths of the City by the Bay.
Haley meets a lonely cab driver named Mark and sees a possible way out of her desperate situation, while J.J. grows even more reckless and destructive. Meanwhile, Big Game James (who was terribly forked over) staggers back upright, and covers himself with bandages. Thinking of nothing but revenge, the bloodied mummified thug embarks on his quest for revenge on the couple who let him live.

Palm forges new Tungsten handhelds
News.com's Ian Fried talks with Palm's David Christopher about the company's Tungsten devices. The two new handhelds feature hardware designs unlike those of previous Palm models.
Michael Newman (Adam Sandler) is a family man whose busy career as an architect does not leave much time for his wife Donna (Kate Beckinsale) and his two kids. Unable one day to determine which of his many remotes turns on the television, he decides he needs a universal remote that does it all. On his search for the perfect device, he meets Morty (Christopher Walken) who gives him a one-of-a-kind remote that has magical powers. With each click, Michael can control his career and personal life. But complications arise when the remote starts to overrule his choices. The film also stars David Hasselhoff as his boss, Henry Winkler and Julie Kavner as Michael's parents. Sean Astin, Rachel Dratch, and Jennifer Coolidge also co-star.
This movie is based upon the popular animated spy TV show of the same title, created by Peter Chung, which aired on MTV in the early 1990s. In the 25th century, a rampaging virus has forced the remnants of humanity into the seclusion of a final city. There is great political conflict within, however, and this is the story of an acrobatic assassin, Aeon Flux (Theron), whose latest target is the government's top leader.
David Schwimmer stars as "Duane Hopwood," a down-on-his-luck divorced father who works the night shift as a pit boss at Caesars Palace in Atlantic City. Heartsick about the demise of his marriage to Linda (Janeane Garofolo), Duane does nothing much in his daily life but work and drink. When his visitation rights are threatened after he's caught driving while intoxicated with his daughter in the backseat, Duane confronts the realization that the time has come to get his life back on track before he loses everything. A moving and humorous look at the limits of unconditional love, what defines a family, and how we're all responsible for our own happiness, "Duane Hopwood" was written and directed by Matt Mulhern.
Set in the cold, windswept world of an Atlantic City November, "Duane Hopwood" also stars Judah Friedlander as Anthony, a lonely slot machine repairman who dreams of comedy stardom, and Susan Lynch as Gina, a bartender who befriends Duane. Rich in the details of daily life, wistful and wise, "Duane Hopwood" is the story of a man who comes back from the brink, and is finally able to celebrate life in all its imperfections.

An unrelenting demon haunts and torments a teenage girl and her wealthy family in 1800's Tennessee. Based on the book "The Bell Witch: An American Haunting" by Brent Monahan, the story was adapted for the screen and directed by Courtney Solomon. The film stars Donald Sutherland, Sissy Spacek, Rachel Hurd-Wood, James D'Arcy, and Thom Fell.
