>> Antuan Goodwin: What's up everybody? This is Antuan Goodwin at CNET, and we're in Alpine's booth at CES 2010 and we're checking out the iDA-X305S. Now, what the X305S is they've taken their mech-free receiver that doesn't actually have a CD drive, and they've added a really cool feature. And that's the ability to interface with the Pandora iPhone app. And the way that works is you connect your iPhone to the device via the USB port and you download a special version of the Pandora app. The head unit will then be able to connect to the Pandora app and then utilize your iPhone's 3G connection to stream music off of the Internet over the IP. The advantage to doing it this way as opposed to connecting an axillary cable or streaming Bluetooth is that the iDA-X305 will then give you the ability to control the app from your dashboard without having to fool around with an iPhone bouncing around in your cabin. It gives you all of the features that you would normally get through the Pandora app including the ability to search your stations right here. You can also skip tracks. Pandora will allow you to go forward a track every now and then. The X305 will allow you to utilize the thumbs up and thumbs down feature of Pandora to fine tune your station so that it sounds the way that you want and plays the songs that you like. When you hear a song that you like just give it a thumbs up. If you don't like the song, give it a thumbs down. You won't hear it again. Another cool feature that the X305S offers through Pandora is the ability to bookmark a song for later retrieval. If you hear a song you like, just hit the bookmark button, and you can bookmark the song or artist. The next time you connect your iPod to your computer you'll get a playlist and you'll be able to download that song off of iTunes to listen to whenever you want. I'm Antuan Goodwin, and we've been taking a look at the Alpine iDA-X305S at CES 2010.
