Your Roku Media Player can browse and download dozens of high quality media channels everything from NetFlix to Hulu. But did you know that there are also dozens of private channels available on Roku that are hidden from the channel store. I'm Donald Bell and today's How To, I'm gonna show you how to find these channels and how to install them on your Roku. Private Roku channels exist for a number of reasons. Some are still in beta. Some require a membership and some feature adult-only content that Roku doesn't want in their store. A simple search for Roku private channel should gave you a number of lists that you can use [unk] out there. One of the lists I found that was most current was on a site called StreamFree. TV. Now, on any of these sites you'll find a code for installing that channel that you want, for example the WootChannel is BPPIM. If you're an area subscriber, the code for their channel is a little easier to remember. Now, to enter the code, head over to roku.com and log in. Click where it says, My Account, and the scroll down to where it says Add a Private Channel. Select it and you'll be given a place to type in your code and choose Add Channel. Now, once you've done that, boot up your Roku, and if you don't see your new private channel right away, open up the settings then system update then check now. With any luck, Roku will pull down your new software and you'll be up and running. Now, once you're updated, and you should see your new channels alongside your favorites. So there you go, the mystery of private Roku channels has been revealed. For more tips, head over to howto.cnet.com.
