>> Most of us hardly know what to do with BMW's X6, but Acura seems to want to get in on that head scratching. So here's their new Acura ZDX concept. Very close to production by the way. It's not quite as menacing in person as the X6 but in the same vein; A largish 4 door coupe UV that pushes the envelope of what a crossover is; Built on the platform of the Acura MDX, which means a 3.7 liter V6 and a 6 speed automatic. Cabin tech will be ample in the Acura fashion but include an all new blind spot information system and they promise what's called a multi view back up camera that can show both wide and top down views of what you're about to back over. In show rooms this fall somewhere north of the low 40's.

There's something odd about Hot Chip. Some fracture between conception and actuality that makes them all the more intriguing. Ostensibly Hot Chip sign up to the Hip-Hop dream as espoused by MTV Cribs and presumably as lived by, ooh, Pharrell Williams? They just seem to have some problems translating it to Wandsworth, SE London, is all. In fact they seem to have trouble squaring it with the equal, but to some extent opposite, influence of, say, Bill Callahan from Smog. Or Lambchop. Or Crystal Gayle. So, instead of doing the obvious thing and working out what sort of band they are going to be, they conclude that they will be all of them at once. And then they'll make it all in a room smaller than the box room at your Mum's house. With whatever's lying around. That is, whatever's lying around - toy trumpets, kazoos, blah. This to conform to a cherished idea of Brian Wilson's that, in the studio, anything goes.
When a young woman is found murdered, a group of local high school students decide to further scare their classmates by spreading online rumors that a serial killer called "The Wolf" is on the loose. By describing "The Wolf's" next victims, the students' game is to see how many people they can convince - and if anyone will uncover the lie. But when the described victims actually do start turning up dead, suddenly no one knows where the lies end and the truth begins. As someone or something begins hunting the students themselves, the game turns terrifyingly real.
