Hey I'm Scott Stein and attention budget shoppers if you care about a laptop that's got more under the hood. -- its overall design style and of I got a laptop for you this is the Acer aspire. The three and this is a mid range laptop and Acer's new lineup of models. And he may not be much of a looker it's kind of that midrange. Thick plastic -- a laptop. But under the hood for 800 dollars price got the most -- -- I've seen in that price. You've got a Quad Core I seven processor and Nvidia GeForce 640 M graphics. GT 6:40 -- So that -- some great gaming performance. Some really fantastic CPU performance along the 500 gigabyte hard drive six gigs of ram. In a car analogy the Acer aspire -- three in the model I reviewed would be sort of like. A so so design car that has a fantastic engine under the hood. Now may not be fully loaded with a leather seats and in this instance it's not. Packed with a backlit keyboard doesn't have -- high -- screen doesn't have a Blu-ray drive. But you'll love the way that it performs. And if that matters enough -- overlook things like keyboard the track pad some of the things that it really love that much. Well then here's your laptop alternatively. You may want to get 800 dollars and applied towards another Acer laptop the timeline -- and five now I reviewed that recently. And it's an altar but technically but it does have a dvd drive it has Nvidia graphics just like this and a 500 gigabyte hard drive so there's an alternative. That's thinner and has a better battery life you can consider as an alternative to a laptop like this. What you are investing towards here. He is the processor speed. I don't like the track -- which is small and like the fact that it was overly plasticky and gathered fingerprints but maybe those talent -- -- to you. In that case you -- CPU dedicated shopper and you should get this laptop. I'm Scott Stein and that's a look and one of the best budget power houses that I've seen this summer the Acer aspire 83. Special configuration -- be V 571 G 9435. And -- percent.
The Aspire L310 works as a trim, affordable computer that will also serve light home-theater-PC duties. It doesn't offer as much room for improvement as its competition, but as long as you don't have plans for upgrading or running Windows Vista full bore,
The Acer Aspire One is easily the best of the current under-$400 Netbooks, but its meager allotment of memory and tiny battery limit its appeal.
Acer is offering the 10.1-inch Aspire One AOD150, an update to its highly successful 8.9-inch predecessor.
The Gateway FX7026 offers a quad-core processor at a modest price tag with specifications that any high-end gamer will be satisfied with. You might want to replace the peripherals and the video card down the road, but this system is an excellent option for a nonconfigurable, off-the-shelf desktop.
The inexpensive and lightweight Acer Aspire 3000 offers basic laptop functionality.
The Samsung Series 7 Chronos stands out from the desktop replacement crowd by hiding high-end components, including a quad-core processor, inside a very a slim design.
The fully equipped, multimedia-minded Acer Aspire 9500 gives pricey, entertainment-focused desktop replacements a serious run for their money.
As much as Acer's Aspire X3200 surpasses other pricier PCs with its wide array of useful inputs and outputs, you'll have a hard time choosing between it and its otherwise identical dual-core Acer linemate of the same price. If you're a multitasker on a budget, you'll likely prefer this model's triple-core CPU.
Acer's Aspire Revo 1600 might be the first Nettop we don't actively dislike. We'd rather have an Xbox 360 in the living room, but the Aspire Revo 1600 would be suitable as a PC for young kids or as a low-profile cloud kiosk. Thanks to its $199 price tag, you won't feel too much remorse if it breaks or you outgrow it.
The large, 20-inch Acer Aspire 9800 offers a decent multimedia experience, but you'd be better off buying a more portable laptop and a detached display.
Acer Aspire V3-571G-9435 Review
The good: The Acer Aspire V3-571G-9435 has a fast quad-core Core i7 processor and powerful Nvidia graphics, matching what you'd see in a high-end 15-inch laptop for a fraction of the cost.
The bad: Mediocre screen quality, a plastic, budget-feeling body, and poor touch-pad responsiveness keep this from being a premium product.
The bottom line: Budget laptop shoppers looking for pure performance for $800 should flock to the Acer Aspire V3-571G-9435, but those looking for a comfortable, easily portable laptop should look elsewhere.
