Comments on: Run Windows inside OS X

How to run all your Windows programs inside OS X. It's very handy if you're making 'the switch,' or just want flexibility.

I would rather run Windows apps on Windows XP...still works great after 5 + years and never crashes. In that same amt. of time Steve "Ron Popeil" Jobs would have got several thousand dollars out of a Mac user.
And when I finally do upgrade from my 3.2 gigahertz P4 HT "presshott" system I will build it myself and use the XP home disk that came with my system for even more awesome MSFT value.
That will last me untill Windows 7 comes out and will dual boot with XP to ensure my old peripherals will work. Nope...no need to feed the Jobster !

You can go ahead and enjoy your "Presshott" system, which MIGHT stay viable for another year and a half if you're lucky--whereas all the while I will be using my Core 2 Duo Macbook without ever having to worry about it becoming obsolete with the release of Apple's next OS, a luxury Windows users simply do not have.

I would strongly advise against any attempts to virtualize Windows from Mac OS X, if you have it installed on the Boot Camp partition and wish to maintain the ability to run it from that partition natively. Microsoft's policy is --- you can't have two active Windows keys with a single-user licence and that's it. I don't think the CNET article is clear enough about this.
