by skimike4 November 30, 2007 7:27 PM PST: First off, it's not even December yet! There's still 1/12 of a year left, and plenty of time for everyone's 2007 predictions to come true.

Secondly, a station will broadcast on air and online at the same time? Really? Are we talking big networks (like CBS, NBC) or like the Golf Channel? I don't see the big boys taking up this one anytime soon. But if Tom says it will happen, then it must have at least a slight chance, right?; Reply to this comment

Better Apple Tv

predicitons #5 and #1
by raanank December 1, 2007 2:00 PM PST: how can TV merge with the internet (death of broadcast TV, #1 tech prediction of 2008) if bandwidth and last-mile technology isn't sufficient. Tom, as you say in prediction #5, the internet will suck in 2008. You shouldn't predict things that are blatant contradictions!; Reply to this comment

new Nintendo Wii

just like with the DS they'll use the huge profits to make a revamped Wii
DVD playback definately, maybe a harddrive, and maybe even some better hardware to do HD rendering; Reply to this comment

Zune phone

5 Predictions For 2008
by theradialangel December 9, 2007 8:43 PM PST: 1. Microsoft Xbox 360 outsells PS3, and perhaps catches up to the Wii, after continuing it's release of A-title games in 2008 (Halo Wars, Alan Wake, Too Human, World of Warcraft: Azeroth Tales, Ninja Gaiden 2, Lost Odyssey)

2. Apple iPhone sees major defects, leading to a new version of the iPhone.

3. Microsoft Zune overtakes iPod in sales, if only for a short time (around 1 month or so).

4. IPTV sees a big surge in popularity and gains a significant support base from several networks to broadcast popular tv shows and sports games, without charging a service fee.

5. Windows Vista gets Service Pack 1 delivered, providing a massive overhaul in compatibility, performance, and stability making it the #1 OS to own.; Reply to this comment
