Here are the links to go along with the crazy episode five of CNET Live. Right before today's episode started the following things broke:

  • All the graphics
  • The screen capture machine (no shots of Brian or my laptop)
  • The audio
  • My brain (see call about graphics cards)

We got everything back together in time to do the show. Except my brain. In any case, here are the show notes for Ep. 5.

podcast or easier way to find download
by manon74 May 10, 2007 7:21 PM PDT
hey guys,
I've managed to download the first two episodes but only because I "caught" them on time. I can't seem to find the last April one? Would you consider putting them up as a podcast?

Cnet live for today May 12
by dgrjazz1 May 11, 2007 2:55 AM PDT
So I missed it. I just spent 15 minutes on the cnet site looking for it. I find reference to it on the blog but no "click here" to see the video. Is it not there? Or am I blind. Thanks

remote access
by ellis feigenbaum May 11, 2007 5:44 PM PDT
I have an old dektop which I use for storage(500 gb).Not needing any type of input device for it, i just add files over the home network, however I had no way to turn it off.
I use logme in, its free for home use. I have no idea if your caller needed to transfer files to his office, but if he just needs to access files from home it could be a good solution.

You can just use Logmein Free Edition for free remote access to your PC and you dont have to mess with ip adresses and stuff like was mentioned on the show with vnc.

How do we ask questions for the next show?
by richcowell May 16, 2007 3:07 AM PDT
Hiya,

I'm new to CNET, and podcasts, I've just got into them since I got my Nokia N95 with the podcasting app built in...

Anyway, I'm really keen to create some podcasts for the school I work in - kind of a video newsletter for the parents etc.

Creating the video isn't a problem, it's what to do after that...

I've spoken to quite a few people well up on web based things, but none have been able to help me with podcasting...

I was wondering if you could feature this?

I look forward to continuing enjoying your shows.

Regards
