Science fiction loves to show us the future. But we've had enough science fiction around for a long enough time that we're starting to notice it's not very good at predictions. In this episode, we count down some of the worst predictions of sci fi. And we give you a chance to win a small pack of zombies from October toys. So watch, won't you? And then come back to answer the trivia question for a chance to win your own small army of zombies.

the group's final scenario, in which the researchers outline a strategic eradication of zombies early in the outbreak, which resulted in the destruction of the zombies within 10 days.

"they are being a little over-pessimistic when they conclude that zombies might take over a city in three or four days."

3-4 days - that's assuming they discount the zombies who already run city government every place I've ever been, and especially Montreal.

Though 3-4 days is probably the answer you are looking for, this answer depends on which of the authors scenarios that you consider. Depending on the parameters, the extermination of a city could take anywhere from 3-8 days. Alternatively, they argue that effective eradication could eliminate the threat in about ten days.

I think the study says 3-6 days, but some of the graphs in the paper I found only labeled time as "time." Kind of impossible to say how long when you don't know if it's seconds, years, or millenniums.

On other note, the three shells didn't make the list? Imagine how many trees we could save. That doesn't take into consideration that some people have big bottoms.
